So you just said yes! They got down on one knee and asked you to make them the happiest person in the world and you said yes! Hopefully they had an amazing photographer (who, me? yeah!) to capture that once in a lifetime moment. (p.s. it’s so fun to coordinate with a groom to be or partner to be to surprise their soon to be bride with a special engagement / proposal shoot- but I digress! Back to business!
- Art District – St. Petersburg, Fl
It’s such a fun few blocks of huge street mural after street mural. I love this as a sunrise shoot because there are less people to watch so that helps the groom feel less on the spot and cooler temperature wise and the lighting is amazing to boot! Also, you’ll have less cars blocking certain murals. But, if you do it later it’s also fun to walk into shops and get lifestyle photos too.
2. Centro Ybor – Tampa, FL
Oooo this area is so cool and vibrant and diverse. So many different looks all in one convenient location. Brick walls and unique architecture and the parking garage rooftop is delish.
3. Ringling Museum – Sarasota, FL *
This is the most gorgeous locale. The gardens are divine and the structures are exquisite. It’s purely timeless and classic engagement photo ready.
4. Station House – St. Pete, FL *
This is a special location that holds weddings, events and is a fun coworking space. Which means it’s so artsy and antique and eclectic. If you want original photos this is the place.
5. Upham Beach – St. Pete Beach, FL
This beach is dreamy! There are huge boulders and rocks on this beach in multiple locations. They are incredible to stand on sit or sit on or just be in front of for engagement shoots. There’s cute wooden boardwalks and green lush trees. This helps to get multiple looks at one location (water, rocks, sand and trees.) And the sand bar is very wide and vast so you can walk a long ways out and it’s still only up to your knees.
There are many more locations I’d love to discuss your unique vibe and style to find the exact right location. Sometimes it’s your house or a meaningful park or where you first had a date etc. These are just a few of the fun Florida engagement shoot ideas. Let’s pick a spot that’s best for you and your partner!
